Invisible!

I am invisible to the world in which I live. Sometimes I feel that I am invisible to the people around me.

To be invisible means to be unseen, to be unheard by people and sometimes even by your own world.

When one has a Disability as I do, it is very easy to feel invisible to the people around you.

Feeling invisible is a hard feeling to go through, feeling invisible is a hard thing to do.

So, if you are ever feeling invisible please don’t come to me, because I don’t know what to do.

If no one has been able to help me when I am feeling invisible, then how in world can, I help you when you feel as invisible, as I do.

Love
by Megan Baker

I met you at school
You were there when I needed you
You were there when I fell
All the darkness seemed to fade away
Since you walked into my life
You never went away

I see your eyes
They shift as I come near
Everything else disappears
You were there to comfort me
Thoughts of you didn’t go away
Until I fell asleep

Chorus: You take away my soul
              And you make me feel
Good inside, I’m tryin to hide
              My love for you

  My passion, it grows
  Deep inside of my soul
I feel nothing will ever hurt me
  With you by my side
  To hold, to love
  Until I get old

  Lying next to you
  Feeling the rain drops
  Seein you pass by
  Is what we should cherish
  And not take in vain
Even though love can cause you pain

Chorus (x3)

Good inside, I’m tryin to hide
My love for you
For you

I’m Thankful
by Megan Baker

Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on your life
To reflect on your past
And on your future
I’m thankful for many things

I’m thankful I have a home
And don’t live on the streets
That I have family and friends that love me
When other’s don’t

I’m thankful I’m fortunate enough
To not live in poverty
And I’m thankful
I can help those that do

I’m thankful I’m healthy
When millions die every day
I’m thankful for many things
But, most of all
I’m thankful I’m alive

I'm Able

My means of movement
Are by wheelchair
And pushing my self around
Makes sweat drip from my hair.

I have talents wide and varied.
My knowledge and intelligence are sound.
I’m bilingual, French and English speaking
And I’m fun to be around.

Hockey is my passion,
It’s more then just a game.
My greatest motivation is to play
Hockey once again.

God is my source of comfort.
On him I can rely.
I’ll forever follow his example,
Until the day I die.
